Have you ever looked at all the guys on the cut line?
« on: July 24, 2010, 05:20:45 am »
This week at the Canadian Open the cut was minus 1.  So I look at all the guys at even that just missed the cut.

Looking at the scores you wonder how many of them just flat choked?  There were a bunch with late bogeys in their rounds and a few that could have birdied the last hole to get in but came up short.

Those are the guys I would like to see interviewed as to what was going thru their minds at the end of the day.

This week was more than interesting.....Carl Pettersson makes the cut on the number and goes on to  shoot -13 on the weekend to win the tournament.  I can't remember if or when that has happened before.

It's surprising how many players once they make the cut put the pedal down and have great weekends. Not enough is said of the pressure of the cut
