Your question was unclear, at least to me. I think you were asking about how the order of posts within a thread appear: oldest first or newest first. Below is a screen shot of a page from the User Control Panel and I have pointed out the field where you can make changes to your preferences. If this is not what you are talking about then perhaps there are some other preferences that you can change that will help you make the changes you are looking for.

I think the problem a lot of users are having is that the Page is loading at the "Bottom" rather than at the top like it normally should.  It has nothing to do with "Order of Post".

I've been having the same problem with IE7 but have ignored it, hoping the it would be fixed by the Staff at GO eventually.

The problem seems to lie with in the internal settings of GO, since every other forum page on the Internet loads normally for me.

I do not know what you mean when you say the page is loading at the bottom rather than the top. Post a screen shot of what you are looking at or try and describe what you are talking about better.

Okay, let's make this very simple...

At the bottom of the page there is a section entitled, "Post a Reply".  When the page loads, that text area gets the focus.  Not the top of the page.  This isn't an issue of how to order posts.  It's an issue of how the page loads in MS IE.  If you are not a developer, then I understand why you don't get what I'm saying; and that's fine.  All I'm saying is the user (me, and others) is taken to the very bottom of the page, not to the top. I have to scroll all the way up to the top of a long thread (actually, any thread) to get to the top of the page (the first post).

Thanks,
Bruce
